It’s Presidents’ Day, and I figured what better time to pay homage to one of my favorite style inspirations? I know it seems weird but think about it – our presidents have worn some pretty chic things and have created plenty of inspiration starting with Mr. Washington himself. The state of the union is not too shabby: stars, stripes, ruffled blouses, gold accents, brass eagles, and lace-up boots – what’s not to like? So if you do anything to “celebrate” the national holiday, give a nod to George and get a little federal with your style today.

  1. Love this post! I particularly like the star marquee light.

  2. This is so fun! And I never really thought about it, but you’re totally right; Georgie was obviously a sartorial mastermind :)
