Typically, I'm someone who avoids wearing red at all costs. I'm not much for color in general (as you probably can tell), but when I do stray from the usual blacks, whites, and grays, I tend to stay in the cobalt/emerald realm. Color is such a tricky and personal thing. Everyone has a different palette that works with their skin/hair/eyes, and colors give off such specific energies which can totally alter an outfit's message. For whatever reason, red isn't my thing unless it's on my lips or nails from time to time. However, this season I've been warming to red and this jacket (part moto, part stadium) was the first step. There's something about throwing a lumberjack piece in with a few more urban touches that I can really get on board with for a dreary winter day. If you're going for lumberjack, you can't do it without a little red plaid. Add some leather and stars to the mix and I'm sold.
