Is it just me or does this year already have a new kind of energy? There's a certain fire in the air - a feeling of anticipation for big things to happen. 2012 is the year of the dragon and boy am I liking it already. The dragon is the only animal in Chinese zodiac years that is not a real species - something that can inspire us to think beyond our basic reality. What better than a fierce fire breathing reptile to give us power and passion to conquer the impossible this year?

LA Rain Fall

Full-on downpours are usually reserved for late winter in LA, so I was delighted to wake up the other morning to the sound of drops on the roof. I love it when I get to dust off my favorite wellies and trench (I bought this one years ago at a sample sale) because it reminds me of being in New York where rain is a regular occurrence, along with cozy Fall days and endless cups of fresh coffee. I don't think Kenzie misses the rain, even though it makes her hair extra curly.
