The Mix

I wasn't kidding when I said that my fashion week suitcase consisted of not much other than every kind of black and white combo I could find. I wore it in one way or another every single day, and saw that a lot of stylish ladies on the streets of NYC shared my love for the mix. The white pants and sequin top were a nice way to honor the lingering summer temps. My new obsession is to incorporate white in my wardrobe long past Labor Day and into the winter - luckily at this point in the week the weather had cooled down to a perfect fall crispness. The black leather jacket and buckled boots added a very necessary autumn feel to the outfit and brought it far away from soft and light. This was one of my most favorite ensembles of the week, mainly because it made me feel like... me.

Pink Power

The past week at New York Fashion Week has been inspiring beyond belief. The city is pulsing with fashion buzz - everywhere I look I see someone who knocked their entire outfit out of the park without even trying. It's been hot here so the biggest challenge is dressing with fall inspiration but still staying realistic with the steamy temperatures. For my first stop at Lincoln Center for the Richard Chai show on Thursday (which I loved - especially the gasoline sequins), I decided to wear my favorite Myne dress in a saturated pink hue that always makes me feel vibrant and put together but still comfortable and breezy. I added these All Saints buckle boots (which I have worn with everything this week), a studded belt, and my Rocco to give the outfit more of a structured fall-like look. Big thanks to Fab Sugar and Shoptiques for actually featuring my outfit in their NYFW street style round-ups!

Even though I'm a little late to the party, I thought I'd share a few of my favorite looks from NY Fashion Week for Fall 2012. There were too many stunning things to count, and some collections I loved so much that I couldn't choose just one look (guess I'll have to give those their own posts)... but these are 10 looks that I would really just love to have magically show up in my closet this fall. Clearly I have a thing for fur, feathers, leather, and of course - sequins. So what else is new?
